Ploy Borisoot
Ophthalmology Nurse
Qualifications:
- BSc (Hons)
- RVN
Growing up surrounded by street dogs in Thailand, Ploy discovered from a young age that animal care was her passion, gaining qualifications in 2019 with a 1st Class Honors degree in Veterinary Nursing & Bioveterinary Science from the University of Bristol. She started her career as a rotational referral nurse through Langford’s Graduate Nursing Programme before specialising in Ophthalmology – “there is more to Ophthalmology than meets the eye!”. With experiences in many referral hospitals across the South West, Ploy’s strongest nursing values are offering gold standard care and advocating for patient welfare.
She is currently studying towards a nursing certificate in Anaesthesia & Analgesia, as well as being a Mental Health First Aider & Wellbeing Champion. Having hand reared her own kitten Seraphina, along with her siblings, Ploy gained interests in Feline nursing, joining Bristol Vet Specialist’s Feline Advisory Board and hoping to undertake a certificate in Feline Nursing in the future.
